It's always been Norah in our family for about 4 generations, so I had Norah on my list -- but, I had boys.

Norah is a much better standalone name than Nora IMO. Nora looks/sounds more like a nickname for Eleanor.

+1 Norah is a standalone name, Nora a nickname in my head

Nora/h is a nickname for Honora/h, a popular name across Ireland several generations ago.

Also, Noreen.

I'm a Nora who changed my name to include a 'h' because of Norah Jones.

That's very odd.

Norah tends to be the English version and Nora the Irish version. I had one English Great Aunt who insisted on putting the H on the end of my name. I don't know if she just never remembered or was trying to diss my Irish side of the family ha ha

But I like Sarah better than Sara, which is weird.

Eh, same. I guess we're both weird.

My dd has a name ending in /h/ that can also end in /a/. So, I vote for Norah.
