SNL - Bowen Yang not funny

This is one of my favorite skits. Bowen isn’t in it for very long but I’m pretty sure he wrote it.

I love him!

He’s definitely playing for a theatre and not a camera, but he’s one of my current favorites on SNL.

There’s a few posters on here that rag on Bowen for being queer and a POC. Their racism and homophobia is thinly veiled.

Personally, I think he’s great. His skit as the Titanic Iceberg is a classic that will be remembered 30 years from now.

You would think that the requirement for a supposed comedy show would be that the comedians, POC or white, gay or straight or nonbinary are you know, funny or at least mildly amusing.

Maybe you’re so busy othering him that you’re not paying attention? He’s been the best thing in all the variations on the Lobster in the Diner sketch.

I think Bowen Yang is hugely talented.
He was definitely hilarious as the Titanic Iceberg.
He is madly funny & I think he was a great addition to SNL.

The Elmo skit last night was hysterical.
At first I thought it was going to be superbly stupid > but the comedian playing Elmo was spot-on!

I do not particularly care for SNL but I died at the iceburg sketch.

Whoever okayed the formalwear skit from last night should be fired. That was so bad.

Elmo, on the other hand, was total genius. Stop gaslighting Elmo!

I also liked the new governess one. That was a good use of a Broadway voice.

The Biden one was stupid to start but finished strong with the multiverse.

I'm not a fan of Sarah Sherman so far (the one who was in the formalwear sketch). I have definitely seen her play that kind of character already this season, and I think it's really dated - like a comedy sketch that would've run in the 80s.

What freaked me out about that sketch is how much Pete Davidson sounded like Adam Sandler in it.

I grew up outside of NYC. The formalwear store skit had me laughing because it’s so true. These are the people that live there…could that be why some people here didn’t think it’s funny?
