Who stuffs the ChrsitmAs stockings? Do you stuff your own?

For kids only, so ours don't get stuffed.

I do all of them aside from mine. Dh and dd enjoy picking out things together for mine.

Not sure, my oldest is 29 and we still do a stocking plus one for her husband. Maybe when they have kids it will be time to stop.

I do kids and (widowed) grandparents who celebrate with us, DH does mine. My 20-something kids LOVE stockings and when I said I was going to scale back on them, they told me they would rather get fewer gifts. I shop for stockings all year long, and buy stuff whenever I see it - a mixture of fun, useful (socks and underwear), exciting (makeup kits for the girls, a pretty bracelet), books and candy/gum. They end up overflowing with a stack of items next to the stocking that don't actually fit into a stocking.

My mom is in her 70's and we live far apart so don't spend Christmas together, but she still mails me presents for my stocking. I stuff my own but it's nice having the presents be a surprise.

Stockings are my favorite part of Christmas. When my family gets together with my sister’s we both use it to get around the no major gift exchange edict. Everyone gets stockings regardless of age, and contents tend to be luxury food items, small games, makeup, etc. As the kids get older (late teens and 20s) it is clear that either Santa exists or Santa duty is expanding as there are things in the stockings in the morning that I was not responsible for!

I fill the stockings for everyone, except me. Mine stays empty.

I have a secret for you. Santa isn't real. Some dude in a costume at the mall. And someone in your family leaving gifts. Now you know.

They don't. I still stuff stockings for my adult dd's even the one who has her partner and my 2 grandchdren. If your here for Christmas morning you get a filled stocking.

It is a fun challenge for me! Make up bag, hair toys and nail polish for DD, travel nail care kit for college DS plus a fidget and some other items that will be nice to have a school. Both kids get funny bandaid. Some phillips head screw drivers for DH (don't know where they disappear to in our house), plus a backscratcher. For me, new ramekins - I am going to make chocolate lava cake. Plus candies and always an orange in the toe.

DH will always put a few items in my stocking, and I appreciate that he wants to surprise me, but I have never once used or liked anything he has put in there.

I love you Jewish wife! Yes, an orange on the toe 🍊! Your item list is great. I get a lot of our stocking gifts from rite aid.

Everyone in our house gets a stocking. Two adults, one kid, a dog and a cat. I primarily stuff them but my husband stuffs mine. Kid helps pick out a few things. Never did the Santa thing.

When we’re at my MILs she stuffs them all. Which is hard because I like stuffing my kids stockings and usually have things for in there. She also stuff “her” stockings for the kids and my kids wonder why Santa didn’t stuff their real stocking. I’m actually not sure what to do about the whole thing. On years we have Christmas at my house, she still says Santa left stockings for the kids. And my kids have a big debate on why they have two stockings and why Santa would go to her house if she doesn’t have little kids.

You don’t need to do anything. Let them debate it.

I stuff them, including my own (woman here).

If I asked my DH to do it he'll ask me for ideas. Which is annoying. So I just buy myself a few small things in the lead up and put it in there. So makeup I was going to buy anyway, I'll tuck in my stocking. I just got myself a new pair of gloves, those will go in my stocking. But I don't make my DH's stocking any more exciting than that. He gets toiletries unless I have something else more exciting for him. This year he's getting a phone case too.
