why do you hate Bush?

Anonymous
I just read from three posters that they "hated" Bush. I am really curious as to why you would hate our president. Has any president done any better? What has he done to make you have such harsh feelings for him, other that you are a dem, and he is a white male?

Because she shoves his morals and values down my throat. I do not need his God making political decisions for me.

Yes, yes... I know. I said SHE. I meant HE. Sorry.

Bush and his oligarchic companions sabotaged American democracy so they could pillage taxpayer resources.

Bush and his cabal of henchmen lied to the American people about Weapons of Mass Destruction in Iraq, and they continue to obfuscate the truth while their companies cash in, Iraqis suffer and American soldiers die.

Bush is bad for business and the economy. He is only interested in enriching himself and his friends.

Bush is bad for the future. He is compromising the prosperity of tomorrow's America by shortchanging today's children.

Bush is bad for the environment.

The Bush Administration has manipulated the media to the point of undermining the Constitutional guarantees of a Free Press.

Bush has tried to undermine the United Nations, a democratic institution created in large measure by Presidents Eisenhower and Truman. Without even understanding what the UN does, Bush has called it "irrelevant" when it fails to fall in line with his dictates.

Bush is inarticulate and projects a stereotype abroad of Americans being ignorant and myopic.

Bush torpedoes global agreements on everything from racism and global warming to biological weapons and land mines, and then expects the world to line up behind him.

Bush took positive patriotism and global support in the wake of 9/11 and forced it behind his own narrow self-interest in Iraq. He hijacked 9/11 for his own benefit.

Bush stands against everything America stands for.

I hate George W. Bush because his administration has cost this country countless dollars and thousands of valuable lives (not to mention taken the lives of countless Iraqis) fighting an unjust and unnecessary war. He is personally guilty of multiple war crimes and had no respect for the international community.

I hope this is helpful.

I don't hate George W. Bush. I don't know him personally. However, I think his presidency has been disastrous for the United States and, by extension, much of the rest of the world. One primary reason I believe this is that his administration deliberately mislead Congress and the rest of the nation on the issue of Iraq and their supposed weapons of mass destruction, as well as Saddam Hussein's alleged ties to the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Both of those assertions proved to be false. Thanks to these deliberate distortions, we are now facing not only the Iraq quagmire, which has involved countless deaths, but a crisis of international mistrust and dislike. And then there's the accompanying economic crisis and our huge, rapidly escalating debt. That he is white, male, and Republican doesn't matter to me in the least. That he is arrogant, incompetent, and messianic bothers me a great deal.

one nation under GOD. That is what American was built on. You can not change that fact. I hope every president we have in the future believes in God. I can not imgaine living in a godless world. Very scary. Which morals and values would you have a president have?

That is the Pledge of Allegiance which is not even allowed in schools anymore.

Freedom of religion?

Separation of Church and State?

People come here for the freedom to practice any religion. Not to live by the laws of Bush's God.

He should not push his beliefs on me. His degree of Christianity may not be the same as mine and I should not have to deal with someone using his personal religion to guide him in running a country. A church yes, not a Nation.

"One nation under God" was added to the Pledge of Allegiance in 1954. By that time, American was quite well built so I am afraid that it is you who are trying to change facts. What America was actually built on was the First Amendment which says "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion..". It is Un-American for you to demand that US citizens subscribe to your God.

You are wildly uninformed if you believe the only source of morals and values is God, though you would be aligned quite well with the present rulers of Iran.

Thank you! I was just going to add that. I 100% believe in God and can find him at Church. I do not want to find him in the White House.

What makes you think Bush actually believes in God, or believes in Christianity. I think it is merely convenient for him to spout the tenets of Christianity in order to manipulate the public.

True. He lies about everything else. Why would he be truthful about his religious beliefs?

I do not hate Bush, in fact if I met him on the street I would stop and talk to him, however, I disagree with most if not all of his policies and also think that he is not smart enough to be hold the executive office.

I don't think he's smart enough to hold any office involving the public trust, let alone the most powerful job in the world.
