Foreign Moms/Families - I need your input please!

Hi,
I'm a foreigner in DC and I'm doing a study on what immigrants find to be the most challenging aspect of moving to the U.S.
I emigrated to the US in 2001 and I had difficulties understanding simple things like health insurance, school districts, taxes, dmv, etc.
If you went through this process and can tell me what you had problem understanding I'll really appreciate it.
