| What is wrong with you all? You are so obsessed with comparing schools and ranking them. Different strokes for different folks, honest to pete … All of these are excellent. |
|
Tufts initially was more prestigious. Then over time BC, BU and Northeastern have become stronger while Tufts has taken a step back a bit. In the 1980's no one would have compared Tufts to those 3 schools. Even back then Holy Cross was considered better than BC.
Now depending on the major those other schools might be better than Tufts. Although Tufts is still a powerhouse in pre-med, pre-dentist, pre-vet. |
OMG, just stop |
lol at northeastern. a true joke |
| BC, BU, and NEU have no prestige. |
| Some excellent liberal arts colleges give lots of merit aid. Are they ranked 20-70? Who cares? |
| Poiint of this thread, why would one pay Harvard, Duke, Stanford sticker prices for the likes of BC, BU, or Northeastern. Tufts does have a good reputation. The other 3 Boston schools remade themselvrs in last 25/30 years but there is no alumni depth like Tufts. |
They don’t have to have "prestige." They happen to be great schools in a great college location. Most detractors wouldn't be able to gain admission to those 3 anyways. |
Whatever, they are insanely popular and very hard to get in. |
Granny, old time is long gone. It's almost 2026. Leave it to the new generations. |
What's your prestige cut-line? HYPMS? Every other college in the US sucks, am I right? |
31% submitted test scores and the 1450 to 1520 range is especially mediocre given this. And only 68% in top 10% of class. Yes, let's leave it to the newer generations of bad students misled by even worse marketing. |
Emory is a joke. 76% of those ranked in top 10% of class with medicore GPAs. 75% have under a 3.75 unweighted. 35% under a 3.49. Mediocre and the students don't even want to go when admitted. The better comparison is Washu > Georgetown > UVa > Florida >>>>>>> Emory |
Washu meanwhile has 86% in top 10% of class and just 4% of class under a 3.49. |
Because we are rich and it’s NBD. |
