Childless people older than age 35; especially childless politicians and bureaucrats
I'm very thankful that people who do not wish to have children do not have them. I'd much rather not see children mistreated because they were not wanted. You're a horrible person for thinking that everyone should have children to meet some kind of societal norm.
Societies for thousands of years have been skeptical and wary of childless people. For very valid reasons.
Nope, only psychos like you. People do not have children for a million different reasons. You should learn how to mind your own business. I'm extremely weary of stupid people like you.
There are no million different reasons, there is always one reason: God/nature/higher power decided that these people do not need procreate their own type. The cycle will end with them. But poor idiots think it is their decision.
Hmmm this is an interesting one. As a younger woman (20s/early 30s) I always thought there was something a bit off about people who remained childless past the age of 40. going through my 30s and having my own children I have tried to reserve judgement and quash these feelings. But observing my own circle it seems the functional,
successful ones all have kids and the ones with severe mental health issues or other life impediments have ended up childless.
I also wonder if it is a chicken and the egg thing- are the childless mentally unbalanced older women I know that ways because they never had kids? Or did they not have kids because of their own limitations?
Anyway something to ponder. I would never admit this in real life because it is very in PC. We're supposed to be in admiration of women who are childless and "free".
Strange take. Look at truly trailblazing woman and you’ll find most of them did not have children. All the women I look up to in my life that I have learned the most from (two bosses, one aunt, a family friend, and a college professor) did not have children. It’s nearly impossible to be successful on a really big scale and follow your actual dreams if you have children.
Such horseshit. For one,
your career is never more important than raising a family. Two, tens of millions of professionally successful American women--women at the highest levels of medicine, business, academia and research, government and public service--were wise enough to find the time to have children.
Lady, you flatter yourself way too much. I can think of some people whose careers are infinitely more important than the children you brought into this world.
Yeah but let’s be real here … if you’re here s*** posting on DCUM, you don’t have one of those careers. 99.5% of people aren’t doing cutting edge cancer research or serving as Supreme Court justices.
Aww, you think your kids are so special. They're not. Most teachers, nurses, doctors, firefighters, EMTs, physical therapists, occupational therapists, volunteers for animal shelters, etc. are going to contribute more to the world than your kids. Procreating doesn't mean anything. Cockroaches do it. Raising good children who will be contributing members to society is important but somehow I doubt you've managed to do that. Again, you flatter yourself way too much.
