I've never been on a cruise before, but I've heard that this is a good option for families with young kids. If anyone has any experience with it - either good or bad - please share. Thanks. |
YES!!!
it was great. I thought I would get annoyed and overwhelmed with Disney, but it was great. here is what I liked: When we arrived on to the Cayman Islands, Disney had a table there with Disney people to walk you to the bus to take you into the city. Other cruise lines had people there, but not as attentive and not enough to personally walk you to the bus, to ensure you did not get into a pirate taxi. Adults activities like art night, wine tastings, not disney oriented. Kids were safe. I could go on about the security system forever. Good food. We ate dinner in a sitdown restaurant everynight. Of course a buffet was available on deck. on and on..... |
Thanks for sharing! May I ask how old your kids were on the trip? Mine is almost 3 and was wondering if this is a good age for it? |
3 and 1.5
One tip....if you want to go on to shore without your son, you can ask if he can stay late (if the child care will close while you will be ashore) Two caregivers stayed with my 1.5 yr old (he was in the nursery and it closed before the other one) so the two young ladies brought him to the area where my daughter and that age group were, but stayed right with him because he was young. It was so nice. We went with my husbands whole family. The kids ages were: 6,5,4,3,1.5 Everyone had fun! |
