Please, recommend a good and tried tea kettle. It may sound crazy but the past 4 I purchased either chipped, or the enamel/paint peeled (inside or outside), the handle would be set in a way that burns you with the steam coming from the spout, or there was something else wrong.
I was not buying cheap either - 50 bucks or so. We need a new one and I dont want to waste my money again! I am willing to spend up to 80 bucks for quality that will last. No electric kettles please, we will be moving overseas within a year or so .... Thanks! |
| You mean the one you boil on the stove? |

I love this one: http://www.amazon.com/Revere-2-1-3-Quart-Whistling-Kettle/dp/B00005B5ZV
Easy to fill by just lifting the whistle part; easy to pour; nothing to chip; handle stays cool; good price. |

I just bought one at the new Giant on Wisconsin. $15, stainless steel, doesn't burn you. It might be $20 now that the sale has ended.
Works great. If it wears out in a few years I'll just get another one exactly like it. |
