Furniture Stores Like Room & Board Quality

I like Room & Board--their prices are reasonable and the quality is good enough. Are there any other stores that are on par in terms of aesthetic, cost and quality?

On the same level, Crate & Barrel is hit or miss--the quality can range from great to terrible. Otherwise, all I can think of are higher ends lines...and it seems like there's a big jump between Room & Board and the next level (e.g., B&B Italia, DWR, etc). You go from a 2k couch to 5k! Certainly, the quality is better with the super high end lines, but I just want something for a small period of time when the kids are young.

Any ideas? I'd love to find another place to shop!

Little Homestead in Rockville has a lot of nice solid wooden furniture (they have a website, but the store is nicer than the website suggests).

I found some furniture lines I liked and then checked who sold them-- there was a place in Alexandria maybe too?
