Table for kitchen/dining room combo

We have only one eating space for both our family and entertaining guests. We also have young kids who will likely abuse the table. We're liking for a solid wood table like this:

But learning how expensive solid wood tables are. We really like the lines on this table and matcha our arts and craft house. I'm hoping to keep my budget maxed at $1000 but would really prefer simethingn much more affordable. Any suggestions on where to look for affordable solid wood tables? I'd think Amish PA would have affordable prices but can't find anything online bc, you know, they're Amish.

It's worth the time to drive up there and order exactly what you like. Also, it's been a while, but there were small family businesses near the Inn of Little Washington.
That's about an 1 hour away and the pricing was excellent.
