Deadline ?

One of DD's schools has a deadline of November 3 if you want to be notified by the end of December. She just yesterday decided she wanted to apply here, hasn't started the app, sent her scores/transcript etc.

Is the November 3 deadline just for the online app or for everything, like transcripts and ACT scores. Our transcript service says it can take up to one week to be "processed" so that wouldn't meet the deadline, but she could finish all of the online app by then.

Should we just wait for the second deadline (February) or try to go ahead and apply now?

Usually everything. They will tell on the website. Some schools will let you have more time for scores.

Usually everything, especially for ED/ea when the turnaround is tight. But no reason not to try to get it in today and do all the transcript/test requests. The worst that happens is that her application is in early for the regular decision cycle.

Scores and transcripts take time. It took a week for DC's SAT scores to be sent to his early application schools. The counselors at his school ask for 30 days for transcripts and recommendation. The teachers need advanced notice to sent their recommendations too.

Schools will allow for some late things from schools, but not for the things that the students has control.
