fake flower arrangements

I know this is DCUM so I will probably get slammed, but I keep seeing these SUPER expensive faux flower arrangements online- do they look real in person? I'd be willing to pay $ if it was real looking, lasted, and cheered up my room":

And these aren't even super expensive (they might be small) A nice artificial arrangement is a good idea. Just don't keep it too many years, they do show some age - fade, get dusty, bent

I have a small one that I got from the Kellogg Collection. They looked so real my cleaning lady tried to water them. I like simple ones in moderation. Agree with PP that eventually they get dusty and start to look tired, but that takes 3-4 years probably.

Ok, I am embolded. OP here. I think I will go for it.

I am not a very stylish person but I really, really dislike fake flowers. I keep fresh flowers almost all the time and they are only about 5-7 dollars per week. That said, those roses do look pretty real.

This doesn't work if you have allergies, unfortunately.

They are pretty. Just dust them.

I've seen these and think they are beautiful, but unfortunately too expensive. DD has allergies, I would love to have these flowers!!

My friends have some real white moth orchids, and the same type of orchid but different color that's fake in there with them. They look so real. It adds to the look. I can usually spot a fake flower a mile away and I walked up to it not because I was looking to see if it was fake, but to look at how pretty it was. I've been mildly coveting it ever since.

I used to have two beautiful ones that were put together by a florist (but fake). I thought they were considered passe now so put them in plastic bags to protect them and now use live plants mostly. Are they back in?

You don't get the nice flowers for that price like in the Horchow arrangements! I would love the faux peonies. Real ones always have ants! (though they smell divine).

Cheesy dust catchers. Don't do it!

You are allowed one faux floral arrangement per home. Any more and it is tacky and offensive. Ideally, there shouldn't be any in a home.
