Our MBR gets great morning light but is then very dark. It's a fairly large room. We have a king sized bed with about 4 feet on either side of bed. What are some tips on choosing a paint color? Floors are dark.im leaning toward a dark grey wall with bright white curtains and light duvet cover. Would also love a rug under the bed. Any suggestions? |
I would do a light paint color. |
I did this and I regret it. |
We did Benjamin Moore's Cream Froth on the walls, and BM's Superwhite on the ceiling and moulding. |
Don't do the dark wall. You'll regret it and it will be harder to cover when you decide you hate it. Go with a light dove gray color or a cream on all walls. I like the curtain ideas and rug under the bed. Do it all light neutrals. |
Agree with PPs. All light neti rales that blend well together, perhaps with subtle patterns or textures for a little contrast. And a great light! |
Neutrals |
I've got a very large, dark master. We painted it white--I do not recommend this. I would go with a light, warm neutral if I had it to do over. |
I think you can make it work. I am painting a bedroom with Sherwin Williams Gray Clouds. I am going to steal your bright white curtain idea.
Is this the look you're going for? http://blog.2modern.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/gray1.jpg http://www.pinterest.com/pin/193303008979197621/ |
