| MY DD is almost 18 and wants to get her cartilage pierced. I don't like the idea, but I figure she can do it on her own soon anyway, so.... where is a good, safe place to get it done? We are located in the McLean/N. Arlington/Falls Church area. Anybody with first or second hand experience, please feel free to weigh in on any tips for caring for the piercing or other related advice. Thank you! |
| If you're willing to drive to Fairfax City, there's a good place called Comes a Time. My daughter and I went to have ears pierced there, and saw other parents with teen daughters there for a variety of piercings. |
+1. Jen is great and very professional. |
Thanks - do you make an appt or just show up? Are you supposed to tip? |
| we went too. my five year old. love that place! i also got a piercing at the same time so I knew what my daughter felt and how long it would take to heal. Jen was really patient and wonderful! |
| Does it hurt more than regular piercings? It looks like it does. |
| Yes-it does hurt. I have both my bellybutton and my cartilage pierced, and the cartilage hurt more. The cartilage piercing can be very fussy too, so it is important to be religious about cleaning it and not sleeping on it, or it WILL get infected. That being said, if you get it done at the right place and follow all the guidelines, it is really cute! |
