Floor is basket weave tile, walls and bathtub area are white subway tile with black liner trim. Grey-blue paint on the walls, white vanity, chrome fixtures.
I bought this shower curtain but am having second thoughts: http://www.target.com/p/mudhut-hope-shower-cu...+hope+shower+curtain Suggestions please, for a curtain and rug. Thanks! |
OP here.
Is a print rug out of the question for a basket weave tile floor? |
Maybe an orange -red poppy color? |
Yes. I really like the combo in the photo below but maybe not with blue-gray paint? The shower curtain you picked out looks very nice, OP. Why are you having second thoughts? ![]() |
Given that paint and shower curtain colors, I'd go with white for a bath mat. I like the curtain.
Alternatively, Restoration Hardware usually has some nice blue gray curtain/mat colors and I would check their offerings out to see if it matched with the paint. We have a very pale blue/gray paint in our baths, with white subway tile and glass tile accents in green/blue gray and found good curtain/mat coordinates at RH. |
yes too busy |
Agree. |
Thank you both. Solid it is. |
OP here. Second thoughts because maybe it is too fussy-looking? Or am I wrong there? I thought about a white waffle-weave or hotel-type curtain, but given the subway tile all over, it seemed like too much white. Should I keep this one in the running? |
Also, I love the orange-poppy with that bath, great suggestion. Thank you! |
. Thank you, I will take a look. |
How about this shower curtain?

I have subway tile (white) and blue/white basketweave floor tile. And I have this shower curtain. It is informal, but that is the look I am going for. Also we have a window in the shower, so need a vinyl curtain to have light in the room. I have navy and light blue towels. My parents had a b&w bathroom and they used red towels. |
I don't think it's too fussy looking and yes, I would keep it in the running. I wouldn't do plain white or black and white. Go with something that picks up the wall color and/or whatever color you might use for accents. |
I had same situation. We had white tile with black accents on walls, white and black tile on floor, brushed nickel fixtures and Behr Dynasty Celadon (light green/grey) on walls.
Black rug. Went with shower curtain that has the periodic table on it for fun! But I liked this one a lot.... http://www.overstock.com/Bedding-Bath/Sweet-J...QKKBWAU&searchidx=25 |
