Our walls are beige in the foyer with a red kitchen and moss green couches in the nearby living room. I have been searching for at least a year for a new rug to go in front of my front doors in my foyer.
This is the door the kids walk in after school and after playing outside - high traffic. Shoes are often left on the rug, too so I need darker colors. I like this rug, but my husband said it was too fall. What do you think? http://www.llbean.com/llb/shop/80538?productId=1334264&qs=3082234 . |
I like it and I think it's fine. |
I like it a lot. I will say, though, that we had a hand-hooked wool rug in front of our main entryway/foyer, and it did not wear well. Loops started getting pulled. Ours was from Crate & Barrel, though, not LL Bean, so yours may wear better. We now have a rug from Target, of all places, and it has held up much better. |

I really like it but agree with your husband - those red/rust leaves really are fall colors. What about the Suzani style instead?

I have an LLbean hand-hooked wool rug and it's worn like IRON for the past 6 years. Much, much better than similar Pottery Barn rugs i've owned. |
OP, I have two matching very similar rugs in my kitchen, with very similar colors, but perhaps a little less red/brown and a little extra color to make it less "autumn."

For high traffic get an indoor/outdoor rug! They're the best. You just hose them clean. |
Not autumn-y at all in my opinion. I think it's neutral. |
