| For me, I find green tea with another flavor to be optimal in terms of dealing with a grassy flavor. So, green tea with ginger, with mint, earl grey green when I can find it. Just drink straight. Also, don't oversteep. |

I really like the Starbucks green tips, or their Zen, which is green with lemongrass and spearmint. Both are mild tasting, and aren't grassy or tobacco-y, which is another taste I find in some green teas.

| I love Twinings green tea with jasmine. It has a lovely delicate flavor, and I don't find it grassy (I know just what you mean about that--a lot of green teas do have that flavor, and it can be a bit off-putting). I drink it plain. |

That's why I was asking...to date I haven't found it to be very drinkable so I'm looking for recs on brands and preparation. Your comment would've been more helpful if you'd offered some brand recommendations. But you just went for obnoxious - did I offend your tea-loving sensibilities or something? I am a big tea drinker-all kinds and I always add a splash of milk/cream to my tea. Op, I bought a half black/half green tea-Tetley makes it. It is very subtle-might work for you-with cream of course! |

| Check out Japanese hojicha. Roasted so less vegetative tasting. I also dislike the grassiness of some green teas, and am also not a jasmine fan (as a flavoring that is, love the plant!), and hojicha is very tasty to me. |
I agree. It tastes great hot and cold and it doesn't need anything else added in.
