Washington Dc souvenirs?

Great friends are leaving after being posted here for a year. They are heading to the west coast. Any ideas on what to get them as going away souvenirs?

I gave my friend a Capitol Hill cookie cutter (from Hill's Kitchen) as a token after she visited. She has it on her mantelpiece and it looks great.

A map/print/photo of DC or their favourite places in DC?

Those Lego architectural models of the White House are cool.

Hill's Kitchen has an amazing selection of DC-centric stuff. Towels, plates, etc., all really cute.

Get something local at Eastern Market

You can make something on Zazzle.com with your own photographs. I also suggest Walgreens because they have the best souvenirs around.

I had thought (but then failed miserably) to get a friend who was leaving t-shirts from all the local restaurants and shops around here that he couldn't go to anymore - Moby Dick's, Ben's Chili Bowl (even though he hated it.) 9:30 club, Politics and Prose, Kramerbooks, etc.

A survivor t-shirt.

3-D White House puzzle. Tea towels from the National Cathedral. Those water bottles with the Metro map on them, LOL!

We received a crystal capitol dome. I just looked it up and it is pretty pricey. I bet you could find something similar if you like the idea.
