A ruling like that would break early voting in all state and federal elections. I like it. |
Yep. |
I guess get rid of the legislative branch, right? The Constitution too while we are at it. |
Why? |
| Now that covid is over There is no need for early or mail in voting except for people overseas or are assigned elsewhere from their home state. |
Election deniers are so irrational.
Even Trump votes by mail. If it’s good for him then it’s good for all. |
We've always had absentee voting for people who had a valid reason. I was a DOD civilian overseas. I had to go to the JAG office and get an application for an absentee ballot notarized. It took a little effort, but i wanted to vote. But, mailing ballots to people for no good reason is not a good look. And, why did so many mail in ballots come into Fairfax on the same day? Find that a little odd. |
Like I said…irrational. |
| My 95 year old mom has voted in almost every election available during her adult life. Do the election deniers think that she should have to stand in line on her walker for hours vs. absentee ballot. (and newsflash---up until Trump, Mom was a die hard Republican so not all absentee voters are Dems) |
Not at all. There are exceptions.... And, polling places do have resources for people with mobility issues. My mom lived in Fairfax County prior to her death. She had mobility issues. I took her to her polling place ON election day and an election worker came to her car to get her ballot to vote. Very easy. There are always exceptions. Allowing weeks of early voting is just silly. |
My friend is disabled. They come out to the car for the disabled. |
For years, those kinds of exemptions were offered and still would be. It was not until a few years ago that you were allowed to absentee vote for no reason given. Some states are now sending absentee ballots to everyone and I think there is a state that has only mail in voting. |
What’s the actual issue? What great conspiracy have you whipped up? |
I waited approximately 0 seconds at my polling place. |
I’m pretty sure Republicans call that “ballot harvesting” |
