BCP's and break through bleeding

I am on BCP's right now in preperation for my upcoming IVF. I just noticed I was spotting on day 17 of the pill when in the past I've spotting on days 12-13 of the pill. Is this normal to have break through on day 17 of the pill? On some BCP's I don't spot, like Desogen. I'm taking Ortho Tri now. Any input from personal experience?

I had break through bleeding while on OCP prior to IVF and they told me it's normal. The bleeding stopped shortly after stopping the ocp. I'm the person on call for embryo transfer right now.

I guess you will be doing a day 5 transfer???
