| I still remember my 8th grade English teacher. She was so inspirational. |
| None. |
| I don't recall a single teacher that made an ounce of difference in my life. I am sure that I learned and have skills because of them but trying to remember anyone inspirational is not working. |
|
Ms. Lorraine C. Ferris. May she rest in peace.
And Mrs. Monti. |
| Mr. Ferry and Wren Abramo. Both were so creative, caring, and inspirational. |

My AP Honors A&P in High School was wonderful. I had a really fun teacher in 3rd grade and a 7th grade Science teacher that blew my mind away with crazy-ass stories.
Otherwise the rest were average at best. Not sure a good ratio, huh? |

None of them really inspired me. I remember, literally, all of them. (I'm 38 if it matters, so it's not like I'm 19 and this was just 2 years ago.)
Some stand out for good reasons and some stand out for bad reasons. Some were just bleh. But none really inspired me in any way. |
Ditto. Can think of plenty of incompetent teachers. |
| Ms Neely for writing, Ms Greene for AP US, Mr Wood for AP Euro.....lots more. |
| Kevin Keegan- Journalism. Also, the most winning It's Academic Coach. |
| Mr. Ron Bombick at BCC. Chair of the science department for awhile. Treated his students like smart adults. Assigned interesting books for reading and discussion in addition to normal biology class -- Beautiful Swimmers and The Mismeasure of Man -- suggested NIH lectures to attend outside of class, etc. Questions always allowed and not poked fun at. Positive, optimistic personality who found a way to rule the classroom without using constant crankiness, fear, or making the students walk on eggshells. In fact, I heard after I graduated that as head of the department he took on just one such science teacher (who ruled by fear and put-downs and drove a lot of interested, capable kids away from science). I liked him so much I went on to talk a full year Anatomy and Physiology cat-dissection class with him in HS instead of taking the normal Physics class. Although I didn't go on to a career in medicine, he stoked a permanent interest in human biology that has served me well both professionally and personally. |
| Mr. Schmidt my honors English teacher my senior year. He had very high expectations of us and really pushed us. He is one of the only teachers I really remember. |
Yea, for me too and I wasn't a journalist nor its academic member. Was not warm but a great teacher. Inspirational and taught me how to get the best out of myself. |
| None. Most were obstacles not inspirational. I forgive them though, they are just people. |
| Mr. Rucker. History. |
