Leg Waxing (and Bikini) How Often?

How often do some of you have your leg/bikini wax? I feel like after less than 2 weeks I am ready for another wax (and I am not a generally hairy person) just want it to stay smooth. I thought waxing was supposed to last longer. At this rate it is too time consuming and expensive to have done 2x per month! I guess I should go back to shaving. Any tips on how to be smooth for as long as possible? Any good waxers in the NW DC area to recommend? Thanks.

My budget sent me back to the ol' Venus razor, but I used to go to Lillian Lawrence, and they did a great job for a very reasonable fee. I remember feeling like by the time I went back, I was really quite furry.
