Decorating Mavens: Help me with my bedroom

I ordered this duvet set in Blackberry (purple) (http://www.overstock.com/Bedding-Bath/Odessa-3-piece-Duvet-Cover-Set/8556426/product.html). I am seeking recommendations on a new wall color and a few fun pillows. The house is mid-century modern and the bed is a teak platform bed. I would love your suggestions. Thanks!

How large is your room? Windows? Does it get a lot of natural light or is it kind of dark?

It is on the small side but it gets lots of light. There are windows above the bed and one of the walls is 80% windows. The bed (with attached nightstands) is the only furniture in the room right now. Hardwood floors. Thanks!!!

I'm not saying to go with that bedding, but you can see how the purple and teal works together.

You could also go with yellow as an accent color

I'm not much of a decorator (though I appreciate a well decorated home when I see one) and was going to suggest something in the teal or aqua or gray families. Glad I'm not the only one who thought tteal would work. Those colors are hot right now and you should be able to find accessories without much trouble.
