I have a feeling he just had covid. He will appear today and will still seem under the weather, but nothing major. His announcement will be about tariffs or invading cities or whatever. Back to the same ole. He will still be wearing a hat and covering his hand. We will never know for sure what went on this past week.

Maybe Putin feels that at this point you were successful enough in destroying America and no longer needs Trump to do his bidding. He’d get to determine how the relationship ended rather than having it end by chance.
