1) We've already seen this show. It's called the West Wing. Rehash.
2) A VP or Congressional Whip can get much more done and engage in a bit more salacious stuff than the president whose every move is watched.
3) Doug Stamper is dead

however, if you've seen the brit version, there are some very good things coming.

I certainly hope so. Unless he's impeached, goes back down South, runs again for Congress and then comes back to DC.

I think they'll cut if off just as he's giving the inaugural address of his new term (i.e. ending it like they did in the brit version).
