Garnet Hill?

Ever ordered clothing from here? How was the quality/fit? They have some cute summer dresses but are a bit pricey ($98 for a jersey dress) but if the quality is decent, they might be worth it.

I order from Garnet Hill a couple times per year (a total of maybe 6 items per year) and have been happy with everything I have ordered aside from a tote bag with wimpy buckles that come undone all the time. Most clothing items fit as promised and the quality has been good. Eileen Fisher items fit really large, but aside from that I've been able to trust the fit guide.

I like the look and comfort of Garnet Hill and the quality seems really good.

I was looking at those cute summer dresses too, and have dog-eared one page, and my catalog's open to that cute skirt/top on page 28 where the model is pretending to be…picking out lemons but oh, it's too hot out? Poor beautiful girl, life is so hard! HA HAHA

HAHAHAHA

My best friend and I used to do our own versions of the LL Bean catalog where we'd wear our boxiest items of clothing and both stare excitedly into the oven, etc.

Quality is quite high, usually.

Sizing sucks unless you are fat.

I am a size 4 and everything is cut so wide. Dresses are like potato sacks. I like the way stuff looks in the catalog, but it looks like shit IRL.

DH has forbade me to buy from there because he thinks it looks like 'frump wear'. Every time I get tempted I end up sending it back.

Humble brag by the size 0 poster.

New poster here but I agree that the sizing is HUGE and I'm not exceptionally thin.
I'm a size 8 in Gap, Banana, J Crew etc. In Garnet Hill I'm often a 4, never more than a 6 and things still don't look right---they're boxy and shapeless.

I have tried again and again to purchase things--probably 25+ over time and I always end up sending them back. I think they use all sorts of pins and clips when posting their models to get the clothing to look fitted in the catalog.

But I am a curvy size 4-6 in Banana Republic (known for more generous sizes ) while a 4 at Garnet Hill is like tent. Things are not cut so wide--dresses don't indent properly.

They definitely pin or clip their models to make it look flattering.

I am convinced this is a Lane Bryant-type place.

Another vote that Garnet Hill has taken vanity sizing to a whole new level. I am 5'7 and 140 lbs - fit and happy with my size/shape, but not tiny-tiny. Their XS are baggy on me and I sent back most of my recent order. I usually wear a small or medium at jcrew.

I do love their kids clothes and sheets.

Garnet Hill fits true to size for me and my 8 year old daughter. We are average size. Cute clothes -- especially for girls (she always gets compliments on her GH outfits), and they are of great quality.

I agree that things run huge. I love their items when they fit, but at 5'9" and 135lbs a size small dress should not be too large.

I buy from them once or twice a year. I'm 5'8" and 140lbs so not super skinny. I find the items to be hit or miss - sometimes they are very boxy, but often enough I am happy. I like the Velvet brand items I buy and some one the zuilly yoga gear. I try to have a critical eye when I shop.

Thanks for the size warning.
I was about to order a swimsuit from there. I'm a size 2, so I'm wondering if anything there would fit me?
