Holton has been issuing homework to middle schoolers on most of the snow days. The teachers email the students and upload the homework on course pages. Some even ask to have them take a picture of it completed and email it back to them on Google drive. I am okay with it but I was wondering what other private schools do for snow days.
No but it is a good idea. DC are working on longer term projects though.
Sidwell has done it too, middle school
Yes, DC's high school has been piling it on. They sent an email basically telling the kids they should "work from home." I don't remember the exact words, but that was the gist of it.
My elementary school has been getting hours a day, every snow day. It sucks because I don't think its a school-wide policy, just the idea of her teacher. Everyone else's teachers have said just to read, while ours has them turning in several paragraphs of writing on top of math and social studies homework. Can you tell I'm annoyed - she has to use my work computer to do it.
Everyone wanted technology and distance-learning – here it is!
PP- Does everyone in the class have Internet access? That would never work at my school b/c all of the students don't have Internet access.
I wish my dc would get emailed work!!!!!!!
Landon middle school has done it too. With all of the missed days, I don't think they want to get too far behind.
Yes, SSSAS has for both middle and upper schools.
With this many snow days, how can teachers cover their curricula without homework on snow days. Think, people, think.
Norwood teachers also doing it, but it varies by teacher.
Field school has also been doing it. Middle school.
WIS does it for middle and upper schools.
How about you think. Not ONE person here complained about the homework. As a matter of fact, everyone here likes or wants it. What is the point of your rude comment? |
