I am looking for an OB practice and visted Northern VA OB. I really liked the office and the Dr. I met. I just wondered if anyone had any information or opinions on their possible c-section rate or anything about the practice at all. I am not wholly against c-sections, I am just wondering!
Thank you and happy new year! |
I started going to them about a year ago, and am now pregnant w/ baby #2. I have 2 friends who also go to this practice for their baby #1, one a vaginal delivery, the other a (very necessary) emergency c-section. My first baby was a c-section so this one will be scheduled. I don't know anything about their c-section rate but can tell you that I have been very impressed with the doctors I have seen so far (3 of the 5) and find them to be caring, knowledgable, and thorough. I highly recommend this practice. |
This is my practice and I love them. The personalities within the office vary quite bit (for eg, Maddox delivered my DD by c-section. He is not a touchy feely kind of dr. but VERY nice, a good sense of humor and he did a GREAT job on my c-section. Barely any scar is noticeable). Every woman I know in this practice -and there are many- loves Dr. Silas. Great bedside manner. All of them . . . they're great.
I can't recommend them enough. Highly experienced. Wonderful people. They deliver at Fairfax (did not love the post-partum recovery there but L&D was fab) and Fair Oaks. No knowledge about c-section rates, etc. So, can't help you there. |
