Worst dog breeds...tried it once but never again

I've had two chow mixes, and they have been great dogs. My current one is loyal, barks at appropriate times (like somebody comes to the door), loves to snuggle, and easy to train.

I've had min pins. Both were very sweet to everyone. One would even come up and snuggle/hug people. All depends on how you raise them. Can't let them be the boss.

So you would get them again or not? The title of the thread is WORST dog breed, not best.

New person here. I HATE corgis. Nasty, bitey dogs. Definitely on my list of worst dogs, along with JRTs.

French Bulldog! She was the worst, dumbest dog ever. She ate everything, including her poop.

Our corgi is the sweetest boy. Yes, he nipped as a puppy but he learned quite quickly that was not going to get him what he wanted. They are very smart and trainable. Really, the biggest downside is his bark, which is a big dog bark. We are working on the barking at what is going on outside, we have pretty much eliminated all barking that is to get our attention.

Good training is essential but I think that is true for most dogs. He is a herder so is happiest when the whole family is together but is very calm when we are not.

Terriers. Wheaton in particular. Appropriate for vermin hunting on a farm. Period.

It never wagged its tail or "smiled" at you. If you petted it, it would stand there until you stopped, and then walk away. Not even a natural polite sniff. It didn't seek company or affection. What PP said about the sentry-style patrol and controlling spouse was spot on. My boyfriend's mother often said she couldn't do something because "the dog wouldn't like it"-- the specific time I'm remembering was getting ready for a party, and she asked me to carry the large flower arrangements because "the dog would not like it" if he saw HER carrying it. I always thought of it as the serial killer dog. One day it was going to snap and all the neighbors were going to tell reporters "Nice dog, quiet, kept to itself mostly..." It never did, of course. Died quietly of old age with an unblemished record.

What a gorgeous dog. I would think it is not a dog for beginner owners, but look at its eyes. They are inquisitive, and kind.

I hate that they docked its' ears though
