How about many men out there aren’t capable and are full of corruption. Trump is the biggest example of this. Voters actually think a sociopathic, vengeance filled 78 yr old who is in clear cognitive decline should be president? This would never fly at any company.

Biden is 82 and no, he shouldn’t be president. But Kamala is off in Hawaii insisting he is “sharp as a tack” while he sends missiles to Ukraine to help launch WW3.

Trump will be 82 at the end of his presidency. Have you heard him speaking at all? my guess is no. Total disaster.

I have and I voted for him afterwards!

How embarrassing for you.

No, it was about the American people rejecting the Left's utterly stupid idea that it's okay for the government to tell social media companies to censor political opponents because "we only burn the bad books." You have to be unimaginably ignorant of history to support the censorship industrial complex or any of its dog whistles about "malinformation," "misinformation," and "disinformation," all of which can more accurately be characterized as "shit that leftists disagree with."

No you absolute moron. The "leftist, liberal media" and these cries of censorship are boogeymen created by the GOP propaganda machine to delegitimize any news outlet that tries to shine a light on all their lies or any attempt to shut down their flooding the zone with sh*t.

Steve Bannon admitted it out loud:
“The Democrats don’t matter,” Bannon told Lewis. “The real opposition is the media. And the way to deal with them is to flood the zone with shit.”

That’s the Bannon business model: Flood the zone. Stink up the joint. As Jonathan Rauch once said, citing Bannon’s infamous quote, “This is not about persuasion: This is about disorientation.”

https://www.cnn.com/2021/11/16/media/steve-bannon-reliable-sources/index.html

And dummies like you have fallen for it. Get your head back on.

I noticed that you did not bother to refute the posters claim that the left thinks it’s a good idea for the government to tell social media companies to censor political opposition.

Why is that?

Yes, I did. You are just too stupid and steeped in your conspiracy theories to get it. Pointing out lies is not censorship. It's pointing out lies. Come back when your frontal lobe fully matures and you can engage in critical thinking.

It's not. Because they can't compete with men, they lobby for everyone doing what they can and getting what they need which Is a disconnect between production and reward. This makes women inherently more Marxist than men. And history has proven that Marxism, and communist in general, doesn't work.

So the world is basically a total disaster with Russia, what is happening in the middle east. Now Trump. All men. Disaster.

Just look at the majority of posts on this site. Some seriously out of touch and angry people on the left. It would be concerning if they weren't such marshmallows.

Out of touch with what? The price of eggs being related to avian flu? Or the actual causes of inflation? Or the right bringing up trans stuff as a wedge issue repeatedly (every post I've seen about it on this site has generally been some MAGA type ranting that this impacts me more as a woman than abortion legislation).

Just because people who are educated don't fall for the right's propaganda, they are marshmallows?

Not the PP, but I’d say the election results pretty definitely show how out of touch DCUM liberals are.

Not really. In the end, Trump still won on a very tiny margin (one of the tiniest in the past 60 years), still the majority of POC didn't vote for him even though the percentages shifted right. The percentage shift mathematically seems more related to losing votes entirely (people not voting) than more people shifting votes to Trump. Many didn't vote for Harris over the Israeli/Palestine war, right or wrong on that one. That isn't an endorsement of Trump or MAGA policies.

This is some serious coping. The entire government structure shifted to one party.

No, it's spot on. There is no mandate. Not that the GOP ever cares about reality. They weave their own out of lies.

Apparently your critical thinking skills led to you misunderstanding what Biden was doing. He wasn’t “pointing out lies,” he was pressing the social media companies to remove posts and delete users who were posting about Jan 6 and Covid restrictions. That’s not adding government speech, it’s the government removing speech, and the case was only tossed due to standing of the plaintiffs.

If voters bought this handmaid’s tale version of reality, Trump would have lost. We don’t. It’s ridiculous hysteria that the public has rejected as nonsense.

Posters on this message board also insisted Harris would win in a landslide because the women voters were so outraged by the overturning of roe vs wade. Didn’t happen. This isn’t exactly a board reflective of public opinion.

Except they didn’t shift to the right. They voted on inflation. Love how MAGA thinks they have a mandate and expanded base. They don’t.

That is a good point, however it was clear that Democrats didn't have a grasp on what was causing it or the wherewithal to do anything about it and their basic platform wasn't built to handle it and likely won't change. EG they weren't going to be able to spend their way out of it and globalization won't help, because much of the world were experiencing it at the same time. Therefor in order to avoid inflation the country needed to isolate itself from the global economy, which the Democrats failed to recognize as a solution.

So, in some sense the new coalition may be more durable than one may expect, given the fundamentally globalist nature of the Democrat party.

I’ve never understood how civilians, or even government workers, get something out of “mandate” - why give a damn? Govern to the best of your ability, build coalitions where possible, push your vision as far and as hard as you can.

I think it’s a strange affliction, fatal for Democrats who navel gaze and pretend that that is analysis, to claim one faction or another has a mandate, and it’s in line with assuming you know what motivates others to vote or stay home. It’s not a winning way on any level.
