Would hate to have been the one who had to let BL know there IS audio to the entire dance scene… and that it is now public. |
They're both flirting like crazy. They had a crush. Ryan found out and lost it. Blake then lied to cover for it. |
I wasn’t on here during the amber heard trial, but I believed her. I don’t believe BL |
I absolutely disagree. They are not flirting like crazy. They are pretending to fall in love in a scene. They have to gaze dreamily at each other and make their voice soft and compliment each other. It’s called acting. They clearly are able to go back-and-forth and talk about less serious topics, joke around, talk about their spouses. Nothing about this says they’re falling in love it just looks like ACTING. But he clearly wasn’t doing anything wrong here. |
I just posted, I’ll add that she seems to have to direct every single second of this movie. She doesn’t let up once in every scene that I have watched from the set.
Like she can’t even let him control 1 two minute slow dance sequence with no dialogue. She seems like an absolute nightmare. |
Flirting. Even the nose job comment was in jest. They had a sarcastic flirtatious relationship |
+1. Seems like she just cobbled together her best attempts at making him look like a sleezeball. |
The truth is in the middle. They're liars. |
They are acting. wtf. |
No, because only one person is claiming sexual harassment. |
The nose comment did seem to be in jest and frankly I didn’t see any abuse at all. I do think she tried to do a lot of directing in the scene. She wanted the talking to look romantic so they seemed to be off the cuff just talking. This is on her. It ends with us should’ve ended up with them getting a mediator and squashing this nonsense before it blew up to what it is today. It’s embarrassing and I am not either party l. |
I don’t understand how anyone can see this and not be on his side. Even if you don’t like him, he doesn’t deserve to be labeled a SH. SHE LIED. She tried to say he kissed her neck inappropriately and that he told her she smelled good in a creepy way. On the contrary he was very professional. |
Huh. To my eyes, she appears to loathe him and be pretty uncomfortable filming this scene. She seems to suggest that their characters be talking more because it will decrease the amount of time he spends nuzzling her neck or "almost kissing" her and she does not seem to enjoy that aspect of the scene. I also think she says the thing about his nose and laughs at him on purpose to push him away. It's a mean instinct but not that unusual -- she can't resist because she clearly hates him. And the thing about him saying "you smell good" happens pretty much as she describes it. They are speaking to each other as Blake and Justin and he makes a comment about "getting beard on" her and she responds "I'm probably getting spray tan on you" -- they are talking about the artifice of acting out the scene. And then he says "it smells good" and you can see it makes her uncomfortable and she says "well, it's not that, it's my body makeup." This reads to me as her expressing that he's crossed a line and reminding him to be professional. I can see how/why they both see it so differently and don't think either one is "lying" in their complaints. They are both telling the truth but he does not seem to get that his behavior is bothering her. Was there an IC on set for this scene? It think a fundamental point in her complaint is that this scene was much more intimate than she expected based on the script, which simply says that the characters slow dance while "in their own world." But he's initiating a lot of intimate contact, nuzzling her neck and upper arms, starting these almost kisses where their faces are right next to each other. Meanwhile it's clear she thought the scene would be more about them interacting, talking, "falling in love" not just getting hot for each other. Having an IC on set for a scene like this would help bridge the gap between those two ideas of the scene and also ensure that it doesn't cross lines, which Lively clearly thought it did. I think this backs up her complaint even though it's not like overt harassment. It shows how uncomfortable she was and could be an example of a scene that was in fact pretty intimate but does not appear to have been choreographed or overseen by an IC. I can also see that he seems to be misreading the situation and seems to think her smiling/laughing is flirtatious, but to me it reads as the way a lot of women will smile instinctively when they don't like a man who is coming onto them, to try and keep their faces from betraying how they feel which might upset them. I can see the stakes being particularly high for her because she has to film the rest of this movie with him and she doesn't want him to realize she is repulsed by him. But she is. |
?I watched it and they seem very comfortable with each other and smiling and joking the whole time. |
I'm sorry but she clearly hates him. She's smiling because she's being filmed and she's supposed to be falling in love with him. Her jokes are a deflection. She's leaning back from him and his visibly bothered by him being physically close to her. She's suggests that their characters would be talking to try and keep him from nuzzling her. She breaks away from him numerous times by throwing her head back to laugh or initiating a dance spin because she doesn't like having him so close to her. She jokes about his nose to get him to back away from her. He makes the comment about her smelling good and she gets serious and is like "actually no I'm talking about my body makeup, this is not a come on." It genuinely concerns me that some of you cannot see that she's very uncomfortable here. She isn't flirting, she's not into him AT ALL. |
