I have a great one. google healthy chicken shawarma cooking light. I make it even easier by buying the tzadiki (sorry, sp) sauce instead of making it. Also, instead of putting the chicken on skewers, I just broil it cut up in a pan w/ foil for easy clean up. I buy the flat bread from Trader Joes -and heat it up, really great!

I just feel like the best way to make it is to use the garlic paste you can buy at Lebanese Taverna market! I know it isn't homemade but my goodness it is hard to make that stuff the same way they do!

Sorry for the complete tangent, but Shawarma just makes me chuckle. I keep thinking of the post-credit scene in the movie, The Mighty Avengers. I've never even had Shawarma before but it makes me laugh.

I went there for lunch today, and got some of the paste to go. This might be a stupid question, but I don't use it to cook the chicken at all, right?

Correct - don't use it to cook. Just load it up on the finished meal for all that yummy goodness!

I have a friend who buys the paste by the POUND. She cooks with it too. I am so happy that they sell it but she's just plain addicted!

After I sent you the recipe, I decided to make it, too! I served it with basmati rice- we love it, it is like Moby Dick's. I'm glad you liked it!
