Is NorthFace cool anymore?

I am such a procrastinator and need to buy my 15 year old niece a gift. I have a gift card to a North Face outlet and I am thinking of getting her one of those fleeces, a light jacket or the knee length parka. Thoughts?

It's not as popular as it once was, but I still see a lot of kids wearing north face. Just remember to include a gift receipt in case she'd like something different.

I think they are still great sweaters and coats but yes they are no longer considered "valuable" and "hot". Our school used to keep north faces out of the general lost and found bin and kept secure but now they are lumped in with rest. I saw three or so coats strewn on the floor and no one cares for them. They were a couple of hundred in their hay days!

not out as much as overdone. Now that EVERYONE is wearing them including grandma, Northface is just there. Their products are still fine. I am 39 and would not wear it (hate feeling like I am wearing a uniform) nor buy it for my kids since there are so many kids with the same jackets/sweatshirts-too easy to lose.

I really think clothes should not be a fashion statement alone. Get the north face with the gift receipt. It can happen to anything you buy and the teen are fickle in fashion

She's going to love it! If she's never had one, then getting this gift will probably be a huge surprise for her. As PP mention, it isn't "out"as much as it is everywhere.

I think it depends where you live. The hot jacket right now is a coat made by a skiing company. I want to say Healy or something like that. Kids are being shot over these coats so I not saying to rush out and get one for your kids.
