This is an interesting bunch of pictures of new wave artists from the 80s, and how they look today. Since DCUMers seem to love commenting on how other people are aging, I thought folks would enjoy this! (I haven't made it all the way through, but lots of them are aging nicely.) A few dramatically different from that. http://djrioblog.com/2013/11/26/new-wave-artists-aging-gracefully-an-80s-world-gone-by/ |

I don't care how old he is or how bad Joe Jackson ages, I STILL LOVE HIM !!!
Thanks for that. |
| Holy cow...Boy George looks so normal. |
| Omg - it's my high school tape collection come to life!! |
| Awwww man...Corey Hart looks terrible. |
| Thanks for sharing! Talk about a heartbreaking blast from the past. Wild that some are still working' the same look from so long ago. I'd better check my own self out through the 2013 lens. Thank you David Bowie, Morissey, Sting and others for keeping yourself together... |
| In had the biggest crush on Simon LeBon. |
| I need to go download some Music. |
+ a million. Thanks for sharing, OP. Ah the memories... (Personally, I think Joe Jackson looks better now.) |
Hey the go-gos are still hot! And so is the redhead from the B-52s!

Nice doll hair wig, Corey Hart!
All in all, good looking, well preserved lot. Amazing to think how young some of these musicians were when they hit it big...many still don't look THAT old...yet. Many seem to have grown into their quirky looks and have become quite distinguished, i.e., David Bowie, Laurie Anderson! Shout out to Wang Chung (formerly Huang Chung) who performed in our local high school gym in 1986! |

Do you remember when he got detained at the airport b/c his passport photo didn't match? He was dressed up as a Geisha: http://news.google.com/newspapers?nid=1310&dat=19840204&id=AvlVAAAAIBAJ&sjid=juEDAAAAIBAJ&pg=6393,669395 Never thought I'd see the day that I couldn't recognize him. |
| Robert Smith looks so horrible! He needs to just give it up. |

Even old Bowie is gorgeous. I think a number of these people aged well.
Gary Numan made me burst out laughing, though. |
