I know this sounds weird, but does anyone have any good suggestions for a great salad? Most green salad recipes tend to have lots of ingredients only available in the summer, so I'm having a little bit of a hard time.
Here are some that I've found so far: Asian Pear Salad: http://www.oprah.com/food/Asian-Pear-Salad Kale Salad with Apples, cranberries, and pecans: http://noshon.it/recipes/debs-kale-salad-with-apple-cranberries-and-pecans/ Shaved Broccoli Salad: http://www.tasteloveandnourish.com/2013/04/03/shaved-broccoli-salad/ Does anyone have any good suggestions? I'm very much a buy a bag of salad from the store and dump some walnuts, tomatoes, or cheese to be fancy, but my husband's family loves salads. Thanks in advance! |
| A friend made the Cozi salad at Thanksgiving and it was delicious. If anyone has the recipe, please share! |

Ina Garten Cape Cod Chopped Salad

| Which cost salad? |
| I do a salad with walnuts, apples and blue cheese that I love. I buy baby lettuce and cut it up in bite sized pieces, add pieces of seedless cucumber (cut into half circles), halfed curry or grape tomatoes, toasted walnuts (I toss in a fry pan for a couple of min), green apple peeled and cut into small pieces, and crumbled Blu cheese. I then toss with vinegrette and chill. I love it. |
+1 People go nuts when I make this. Reduce the oil called for in the recipe however. It's a truly ridiculous amount. |

Op here.
Here is the link for the recommended Ina Garten salad http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/ina-garten/cape-cod-chopped-salad-recipe/index.html Here is the recipe for the cost signature salad http://www.browneyedbaker.com/2009/08/04/the-signature-salad/ I'm definitely going to make these for my holiday guests!! Thanks! |
| Thanks for the link to the Cosi salad--took it to a party last night (potluck for DS' basketball team) and everyone raved about it. I think next time I'll use something besides pistachios thought--couldn't find shelled ones and that was a pain! |
