I would love to round off my Christmas dinner with a Buche, either traditional cake or ice cream version. Where do you recommend I order one? Thank you! |
| If Randolphs bakery in Arlington still exists, they have the best I have ever had. |
| I got one from Heidelberg Bakery last year, but it was just okay. |
| If tout de sweet in Bethesda would make you one I bet it would be good. |
| I have gotten one at Praline in Bethesda and it was great. They had a few flavors. Call and put in an order ahead of time. |
| I make my own. It's not that difficult to do - just a jelly roll cake with chocolate buttercream. |
| I got one at praline too. Very cute, so so on taste, and very expensive |
| Surprisingly, Whole Foods makes a nice buche. |
| Randolph's is very good. |
Agree. The only item we ever buy from the bakery there. |
Le Caprice in Columbia Heights has them, with a little gold saw. Very cute! I haven't tasted them, but their other cakes are awesome so I assume the buche is too. Slightly unrelated, the owners are the nicest people, so I would never buy anything from WF that I could get from Le Caprice. Shop local and all that.

Patisserie Poupon in Georgetown! My husband is very snobby about this and it is the only one he approves We order several each year to give to friends, and everyone who tries it starts getting it each year too. They have a variety of flavors but the Hazelnut is amazing! Another good one is Stella's Bakery in Rockville.

We've never had a buche from Stella's, but everything else we've gotten from there has been divine! |

Ridgewells does a really nice one.
Also- I have had the Williams Sonoma one you can order and its really good! |
