Infertility Support and Discussion

Hi,
I'm on my first IVF cycle and my RE has had me taking Lupron injections for 8 days now. I'll start stims on 2 days. She was very specific about taking the injections at the exact time each day to avoid ovulating too soon. Down to the minute. I'm in shock right now and my husband and I just watched tv and completely forgot about our 9pm injection time! We took the shot at 10:50 and I'm so scared that I may have messed something up before we have even begun. I had a sono 3 days ago and already had a dominant follicle so I'm concerned this could be affected. Has anyone else had experience with this, and do all docs stress the importance of taking this medicine at the exact same time each day? Thanks in advance! |
no worries!!!! i even skipped a shot one day by mistake! I have a 2 yr old daughter as a result!

Don't worry at all!
On my first IVF cycle my estrogen was slow to rise so we stopped the lupron entirely after about 5 days (and I never ovulated prematurely/have 2 year old twins from that cycle). We're about to do IVF again and I'll be on the "lupron stop" protocol where the lupron is stopped purposefully after a few days. You should do fine with being late on a dose and even if you miss a dose. |
