My neighbor who has children at LS just shared with me that the club lost one team in each age group and gender. 2 in a handful.

It’s now obvious the spring robbery PLUS the almost $1 million from PPP was to avoid folding in case there’s another lockdown. Which seems more and more likely as days go by and summer comes to an end and cases keep skyrocketing.

Alot of clubs lost one team in each age group. Ours did too.

Our previous club (Lee-Mt. Vernon) is going to be missing several ages on girls side. Things were getting bad, COVID didn’t help, but definitely not the cause of the exodus.

Well, ladies & gentlemen, dear DCUM peers, with the announcements of both FCPS but mainly LCPS going full virtual for fall (and very likely well into Q2) it is safe to say that there is a high chance sports will not take place under Northam’s guidelines...

I understand HS sports is not the same as club sports ($), however, the likelihood is there.

Consequently, we could be weeks away from seeing LS fold for good.

Actually, I think this decision is actually better for club sports. With school's going to full DL, there's no issue if (when?) a student or teacher tests positive and the mapping at the school (in classes, on the bus, etc.) puts a bunch of kids on a 14-day pause from any/all activities.

the admins of the advocacy group created on facebook by parents who got robbed by this multimillion dollar criminal non-profit met with these corrupt SOB’s. Among the little things they admitted was that another lockdown (or closure) would definitely put them out. Fingers crossed.

Based on timing and writing style of other posts on this board, it’s an FCV 07 parent. Same guy was also fishing for compliments for his FCV 07 team in the Jeff Cup Fall Kickoff thread (while also hating on Loudoun). He cannot stand that Loudoun 07 has always been better than his DD’s team. He hates that nobody cares to talk about his kids team.
