This implies all travel is a waste…since many have pointed out that you can travel internationally cheaper than the US.

It seems in your view that anyone taking a flight anywhere is wasting money.

The same way they afford houses, cars, private schools, etc. They either make a lot of money or inherited it. And they enjoy travel.

Or, they're a mule. Lots of international travel is part of the job.
