The Harris campaign gave an update on voter turnout in several areas:
* High Puerto Rican turnout in Philadelphia. As of midday, the three wards that contain the highest concentration of Puerto Rican registered voters in the city were already at 79 percent of total 2020 turnout; * High enthusiasm among college students, including lines at Lehigh University of up to 7 hours long. The Harris campaign said it is sending support and surrogates to keep students in line, and election officials are sending more machines to these polling places; * In North Carolina, rural Republican turnout is lower, based on a small sample of rural counties. Turnout in Durham, home to Duke University, looks strong. |
1. Your math is wrong. 2. She probably will get 700,000 votes in Philly with the record turnout. Bye. |
Meet me back here at midnight and we'll see! She will not take PA. |
NP here, simply sharing that it is now almost 6 PM and the anxiety level is up, up , up. |
Everyone's is. I'm a Trump voter and mine is as well, even though early predictions look good. |
+1 Not sure why I came to DCUM just now...but my anxiety level is going up and was hoping to commiserate. Whatever |
I’m worried that Harris lost votes because of stupid Gaza/Israel conflict. |
I wouldn’t worry about that. It doesn’t rank high for the vast majority of Americans except the extreme far left, who don’t even vote for Democrats anyway. |
I hope so! It’s a close race and their support could be the difference and we’re stuck with the orange monster. |
+1 Wouldn’t you? The Bidens have been treated horribly. Jill probably voted for Trump. Joe had his nomination stolen from him. |
|
Jill is intelligent, so the chances she voted for Trump are nil. |
Trump voter here and mine is upppp. I lost my appetite and my stomach is in knots. DH doesn’t want to watch the returns, so I’m going to have to wait until he goes to bed. He gets more anxious than I do and I can respect that. |
