Go over to the ESSER funds thread and read the post about from the teacher who worked in a school where half the class was in a room with a monitor and virtual teacher and the other half was in class with their in person teacher. Saying that teachers get to dictate which classrooms wear masks and which don't is beyond overreach. Teachers need to follow the rules too, not just make them up as it suits them. |
How long should we be appeasing hypochondriac judgemental teachers? They won't stop being hypochondriac about this next school year if they haven't yet. Should they mandate others to wear masks for them, you seem to give them this power. |
I’m a teacher and I don’t feel it’s my student’s job to protect me. I don’t want them wearing a mask for me and I am fine with them being maskless. I also look forward to being done with implementing it. No more telling them to put their mask on or pull it up.
As usual, FCPS isn’t being completely clear on the employee option. I want to be mask free but I can see it being a huge issue with co workers and admin. So I will probably slowly stop wearing it. |
Legally they can remove them tomorrow. But most teachers and principals probably don’t know that |
How do you know? |
Really?!?! |
This really shouldn't be so unclear, yet here we are. |
I haven't really thought about it, but now that you mention it I'm not really sure where things stand. I assume tomorrow won't be any different from last week. ES Teacher |
School districts have until 3/1 to comply though? So they can keep suspending kids for a week. Unless you think a judge will enforce the EO? |
The EO isn’t in play anymore. Now the state has the amended law. |
It’s sort of in play until 3/1. The law makes the lawsuits against the eo moot once schools are required to be in compliance. |
effective 3/1. It isn't 3/1 yet |
Gee, thanks, Mr./Ms. Anonymous Sciencing Expert. |
This tells me all I need to know about you. |
STOP-you sound ignorant. |
