2024 Boys Private School Results /Game Schedules/ Commentary

SJC can't avoid WCAC teams. Maybe DJO should move to the IAC. And as far as STA goes.....stop acting like you have any athletic talent vs the WCAC. You dont. Stick to handball and golf.

And que the STA boosters screaming about SAT scores and who got into Bowdoin and Wesleyan

If by “in the mix” you mean middle of the pack, then maybe. But STA will never have the depth of quality that the more established lacrosse powers have.

They will have a shot. They have a top fogo, the best 27 goalie in the region and several other top kids mixed in.

They have several good younger players, but lack depth not only in talent, but numbers. Whether they are “in the mix” will also greatly depend on their competition’s skill level.

Not good for the conference what happened to SSSA. Hopefully they can get their business back in line.

SSSAS AWFUL… they need to find some players.

Bullis vs SSSAS 17-7 final. But it was out of hand at the half. Bullis has had 3 sleeper games EHS DelMar and SSSAS and they face conference final game vs Prep.

Bullis or Prep who you got?

What happened to PVI lost to GC? That is a surprise

STA had "a shot" with the 2023 class. They were the best class STA has had in a very long time and they came in last in the IAC. They had good players in many key positions and it still didn't matter. STA lacks overall depth, strength, athleticism, and skill. The IAC is down big this year and still STA is second to last in the league, having lost to everyone except SSSA, who they play next week. To compete in the IAC STA will have to do more than just have a "bunch" of good 26 and 27s. The top teams all have good 26 and 27s.

DMV talent is way down this season. Best player in the DMV is injured, FO is down, last season the DMV had the best goalie class ever, D is down and the teams are just not ranking with the national programs. Lets hope 26 and 27 classes track better

Agree that DMV lacrosse is down this year but Landon is clearly not and in a league of their own this spring.

IL lacrosse has them ranked at #8 in the country for a reason.

Really a surprise. I guess you have not watch PVI or GC play. I have watched both and GC is much better team. Well coached and play as a team.
Anonymous
GC is the better coached team. They don’t have the depth to compete against Bullis SJC Gonzaga yet. This is year 2 for coach Smith. At this rate, they should be in the race for WCAC title yearly.

Get better

Absolutely. There is more to it though. You need AD support. And everyone knows that all Wooten cares about is boys basketball and the rest of the DJO athletic dept. goes to support it. Outside of softball, the rest of DJO sports are mediocre to awful and Arlington kids with any athletic ability avoid it like the plague if they can.

How Wooten still has a job is beyond me
