Good day. We need to talk let me know when you get this.
Thanks, Tim WTH? DH received this Friday night/Saturday morning from an aol account without a recognizable name. If it was Tia and not Tim I would be really suspicious. Right now I'm just confused. Things have not been good and we are trying to work our way through that. He "accidentally" set his phone up some weeks ago (before we agreed to work on things) to get all text messages sent to me, although I don't get his (we share an apple account). I am going crazy trying to figure out who Tim is. Does he think he found something suspicious and Tim is a PI? If so, why the middle of the night e-mail? I really do not know what to make of this e-mail. He was letting me use his phone for something else and that is when I saw this. |
Would a PI have found something suspicious? |
It's spam.... So clearly. No one says good day at 2am. |
Sounds like spam, especially the "Good day" greeting. |
+1 You are paranoid. |
Whew. Thanks. OP here. No, the PI would not have found something suspicious.
Most of the spam I get is so obviously spam - spelling, syntax, grammar, etc. This one was pretty good. I guess the spammers are getting better. |
Yes, spammers are getting good. But for sure this is spam. |
OP, it seems like you are paranoid and feeling guilty about something you did. Otherwise, there would no reason for you to freak out and think your husband hired a PI.
You don't have to be honest and fess up to us, but it's obvious. |
+2. Obviously she's a cheating whore |
PP, he asked me about several texts he received, most of which was my trying to set up lunch with my (female) friend. I thought perhaps he hired someone to be sure it was really her cell number.
I guess he can just keep reading all my texts and asking me about them if he wants to, since he has not shown any inclination to delink his phone from my texts. Every time I get one now I wonder whether he will read into it. Just last night I had to explain who I texted that I was just around the corner in a cab and sorry I was late (answer: my very gay hairdresser). |
Nobody uses aol anymore and nobody says good day unless they're British. |
DOWN LOW |
A lack of trust that strong doesn't come from nowhere though, does it? |
sometimes it does. the saying "there's no smoke without fire" has gotten a lot of innocent people in trouble. |
It's also a weird metaphor since it's manifestly possible for something to smoke without being on fire. |
