| I just looked at U of Southern California's admission page. The undergrad tuition for 2013-14 (room/board/fees) is $62,245. I know it's a great school but what are you getting for that kind of money?? |

access to probably the hottest student body on the planet.
Definitely hottest BY FAR in the top 25 USNWR. The Film program is top notch as well. |
Other than rampant hormones, anything else? |
| Undergrad from any school is never worth that kind of money. Never. |
| Only worth it if you go to the film school or for the graduate programs in medicine, law, business and engineering. Or if you really like football and want to be alumni some day. |
| Agree with 23:32. And not worth $63K. |
| Which top 25 privates are considerably less expensive than USC? I'm seeing most schools coming in at that range for total cost of attendance. I'm pretty sure the number quoted is a total cost number. Tuition itself is much lower. |
2013-2014 Undergraduate Estimate of Costs The following are the estimated two-semester costs for a full-time USC undergraduate (taking 12-18 units each semester) living in university housing: $45,602 Tuition 761 Mandatory fees 12,902 Room and board* 1,500 Books and supplies 900 Personal and miscellaneous 580 Transportation $62,245 Total (add $350 USC Orientation Fee for your first semester)
*Includes average rent and the standard meal plan for students living in on-campus freshman housing. http://www.usc.edu/admission/fa/applying_receiving/undergraduates2/costs.html |
So tuition is $45K - that seems in line with most Top 25 private schools, right? |
|
Duke tuition is the same $42k
Vanderbilt is about $43k But the all in costs are about the same. |
| Sorry Duke tuition is $46K |
