What are you doing for NY´s eve? Family friendly or not Family friendly

We are looking for something fun to do on NY´s Eve. We may have a babysitter, so I´m considering both family friendly and non-friendly options.
Any suggestions for something fun in the DC or NoVA area? |

| We were going to go out somewhere nice for dinner but decided to see West Side Story at the National Theatre instead. It's a new production that will be on Broadway early next year. |
