Hi there,
We will be moving to FFX county within the next year (either in West Annandale/Fairfax or Vienna) and looking for a great play-based preschool. Any recommendations? |

| We lips e Vienna Baptist Children's Center. My 2 boys have had a great experience. That said, I'm not sure what you are specifically looking for as far as "play based". There is a curriculum. |

+1. We loved this place on the tour but ended up needing full day instead. Had neighbors who also loved Annandale Coop Preschool. |

+1 but if you are not a church member be prepared to get there very early on sign up day. DH was #2 on the list at 4:30am. |

Check with Carousel Child Development center if you're looking for a full-day, full-year preschool. We were there for my daughter's first 2.5 years and were sad to leave it when we moved to Arlington.
It's in Annandale, just south of 50 and just west of gallows rd. |

| Vienna Presbyterian Church Preschool! Long established, great teachers, lovely, clean environment, small classes, close knit community, reasonably priced, three happy VPCP alumni at my house! |

703-978-4141, ext. 35 Lovely, supportive director and happy teachers. Very nurturing and fun! Classes meet 2, 3, or 4 days per week. Classes range from 2 hrs & 45 min to 4 hours long. No Mondays. |

This. We love love love VPCP - the teachers, the director, and all the staff. There is an incredibly low turnover rate on the teachers, who are very experienced. It's a very loving environment. They mind the things that matter, and leave the rest at the door. I recommend it to all parents I come across who are looking at PreKs. My little one went from a quiet and reserved kid who wouldn't sit for a story to a chatterbox who brings books to us to read and is revved up for new activities. We went from cautious and reserved first-timer 'What are you doing with my kid?' parents to 'Sure, whatever you guys do is fine with us'. |

| Carousel rents space in a church facility but is not affiliated with the church. There is no religious content, though they do Christmas and Easter-related projects. (Trees, wreaths, easter eggs, but no Jesus.) |
