Playlist for 8-year-old girls

Anonymous
My daughter is having her 8th birthday party this weekend and I would like to surprise the girls with an impromptu dance party, but I am totally out of it in terms of the music scene. Any suggestions of songs to download?

Definitely One Direction's "Best Song Ever" and "That's what makes you beautiful"
Justin Beiber - Baby, Somebody to Love
Taylor Swift - yeah pretty much anything, Everything Has Changed is currently at the top of the Radio Disney list for her, I like You Belong With Me and Love Story
Ross Lynch - Better Together
Selena Gomez - Birthday (of course!), Come and Get It
Katy Perry - Roar

Check out the latest Dance Party Wii disk - that will give you a good idea of some more dance songs to include.

OP here. I checked this out on Amazon, but saw that these are actually compilations sung by kids, not the original performers. Isn't that even more unbearable (bonus of lyrics scrubbing aside)?

OP again. Dance Party Wii!! Great idea! Thanks for the other song suggestions as well. I probably don't need more than 10 song total.

My kid turns up her kidz bop cd every morning -- jams like she is on MTV... unless you have an extra picky crowd ...this will do...

^^pp here -- meant to add that these kids can actually "sing" as in they don't sound like the chipmunks and mickey mouse club

KidzBop is so bad. Most of it is in a pitch that makes me want to punch puppies.

I'm happy that the PP isn't annoyed by it, since her child likes it.

I hate Kidsbop.

I am slowly becoming a Kidz Bop for the sole reason that I can now understand the lyrics to several songs. The kids sing them clearly.

I am pp... And to be honest I no more annoyed by kidzBop than I am with the originals... I don't think most singers today can actually sing.. Having said that, I most appreciate not having to be on high alert thst someone is going to say something nasty!
