Switching from Pampers Swaddlers to Up and Up Brand?

Anonymous
Has anyone switched from Pampers Swaddlers to Target's Up and Up brand? We had planned to go with Target all along, but found that the Pampers worked so much better for the newborn breastfed blowouts. Now that our baby is almost 10 mos and in size 3s, I'm thinking maybe we could go back to the generics again and save ourselves some money. Anyone make the switch? Good idea? Bad idea?

I don't think it is a bad idea but I think that you can get just as good a price on Luvs buying on Amazon with Subscribe and Save/ Amazon Mom. We are not brand loyal when it comes to diapers so I generally go with whatever is cheapest. I've only used the Up and Ups a couple of times and they were fine.
Babycheapskate has weekly run down of the best prices on diapers.

I use Target for daytime and Pampers at night. Target is fine as long as you're not using it for too long, otherwise they are more leak-prone than Pampers.

Works for us and no leaks so far.

Ditto. I will add that for #1, we used 7th generation exclusively after swaddlers. I bought a packet of 7th Gen for #2 , but I like target 's brand better. They are also half the price.

We switched to Target brand diapers after our daughter got older and was less prone to blowouts. It is fine. Although we had to use Huggies nighttime diapers between ages roughly 1-2 because the Target brand could not make it all night.

Does anyone know the difference btwn Cruisers and Swaddlers?

We liked Up & Up until our toddler started walking; they bunched up too much in the crotch at that point.

To the PP - Crusiers are cut for walking; the fit is a little different.

The Up & Up are bit stiffer than Pampers. DS didn't seem as comfortable so we went back to Pampers. But plenty of people have been happy with the U&U, so give it a shot.

So funny, I actually really liked the Target newborn diapers, but the size 1s are really poor quality compared to the newborn ones, so we switched back to Pampers Swaddlers!

Cruisers are larger size of Swaddlers

Pampers come in larger sizes than Cruisers, but they are also cut differently to accommodate a walker.

I am a big, big money saver and will try any store brand. I could not do the target diapers... especially with the blowouts. The up and up wipes are great... very similar to pampers wipes, but I just could not go with anything other than pampers or huggies diapers. It hated to spend all that money on a name brand, but with diapers, no store brand, or cheaper brand, was up to the task.

Definitely worth a try. We switched to. Up & Up after Pampers added the dry max which gave my son a terrible rash. Never looked back and have saved a ton.

I thought they were cut differently to accommodate crawlers. The photo on the box is of a baby crawling, and it mentions babies becoming mobile.
