Can you freeze mashed potatoes?

Forgot to add the ingredients are yukon gold potatoes with earth balance (fake butter), skim milk, and sour cream.

yes, my MIL used to do this all the time. They reheat in the microwave really well. The texture is somewhat affected, but they are still very good.

Thank you! I was thinking of maybe baking them in the oven after defrosting to dry them out a bit.
